About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Public Health Professor to join our esteemed faculty at The Ohio State University. This is a tenure-track/tenured position in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy within the College of Public Health.

Job Summary

This full-time, non-remote position offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic scholar to contribute to the college's mission through research, teaching, and service. We invite applications from individuals with a strong background in health services management and policy, or a closely related field, who can demonstrate a commitment to excellence in education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach healthcare management courses in the MHA program, including healthcare delivery, organizational management, strategy, operations, information technology, healthcare finance, health policy, and economics.
  • Develop and maintain an active research agenda that includes external funding, or a willingness to engage in such efforts, commensurate with rank.
  • Contribute to the division's research areas, including healthcare access and utilization, healthcare management practices, health economics, policy and program evaluation, healthcare policy and law, health disparities, public health crises, healthcare institutions, and implementation science.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree with a focus on health services management and policy, or in a closely related field, completed by the start of employment.
  • A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and teaching/mentoring commensurate with rank.
What We Offer

The Ohio State University offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
