As a Public Health Nurse I or II, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy outcomes for mothers and children through our Maternal and Child Health (Prenatal/Postpartum HV Program).

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $27.96-$32.85 per hour for Public Health Nurse I and $29.79-$35.00 per hour for Public Health Nurse II.

About the Role:

This grant-funded position involves working directly with historically marginalized individuals, conducting health promotion programs at all levels of prevention, and participating in field work including home visits and other outreach activities.

  • Provides comprehensive healthcare coordination to pregnant and postpartum individuals and their families.
  • Conducts home and/or community visits with families and children from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Evaluates and performs physical nursing assessments with individuals and their infants.
  • Creates a care plan for the client and their infant(s) based on any stated and observed needs.
  • Uses data related to the social determinants of health to provide and coordinate care for all clients.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Public Health Nurse I: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited College of Nursing; current and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse license; Ohio Driver's License; BLS CPR Certification.
  • Public Health Nurse II: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited College of Nursing; 2 years' experience in nursing including OBGYN, postpartum, public health, case management, home visiting, or related discipline; current and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse license; Ohio Driver's License; BLS CPR Certification.
