Job Summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in assembling mechanical and electrical units, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical units, working from shop orders, diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assemble mechanical parts associated with actuators, solenoids, coils, proximity switches, and fields.
  • Solder assemblies.
  • Assemble complete units under supervision, safety wiring.
  • Operate light machines, presses, and name plate marking equipment.
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and ability to understand and follow assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use various assembly and mechanics tools.
  • Able to accurately and neatly record data from work performed.
  • Punctual, organized, detailed, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service driven, able to manage multiple tasks, and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational training, or mechanical aptitude, or any combination of the above.
Work Environment and Safety Equipment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work.

The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes.

Safety glasses, shop coat/apron, and proper shoes are required.

Typical Materials, Tools, and Equipment Used

Parts and components from ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, electrical wires, safety wires, housings, etc.

Voltage and resistance equipment, presses, and name plate marking equipment.

General hand tools associated with assembly.
