Job Overview:

Digital Prospectors is looking for a talented Cloud Storage Solutions Architect to manage and enhance our centralized storage technologies. This role is crucial in supporting our Infrastructure Services by overseeing the complete lifecycle of storage systems, which includes planning, acquisition, deployment, daily operations, and eventual decommissioning of storage solutions such as Pure, Rubrik, EMC, NetApp, Unity, and others. If you have a strong background in network and cloud storage technologies and excel in fast-paced environments, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, upgrade, and maintain the SAN/NAS infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve storage and networking challenges associated with SAN/NAS services.
  • Collect requirements and provide technical planning and documentation for future storage projects.
  • Create a comprehensive long-term SAN/NAS storage strategy, including technology selection, sizing, refresh timelines, and budgeting.
  • Document processes and procedures for effective storage lifecycle management.
  • Set up and configure a storage monitoring system to oversee storage health and usage.
  • Develop actionable alerts and run-books for the Network Operations Center to facilitate first-level support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • Expertise in block, object, and file storage solutions (e.g., Pure, EMC, VPlex, XtremIO, ECS Object Storage, and Unity technologies).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS managed storage services.
  • Proficient in documenting technical solutions using tools like Atlassian Confluence and Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong understanding of NFS, iSCSI, CIFS, S3, and FC storage protocols.
  • Experience in creating Terraform modules from scratch and managing existing Terraform configurations.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Rubrik, and other storage providers for Terraform.
  • Current experience in Terraform for AWS and enterprise storage management.
  • Advanced knowledge of GitOps methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with command line Git operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to document strategies, designs, and present benefit analyses to management.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Terraform Cloud and Bitbucket Cloud is highly desired.
