Job Summary

Marriott International is seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to join our Software Engineering - Data Platforms team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our Agile team in delivering high-quality data projects and products on time, within budget, and meeting Marriott's expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign, direct, and coordinate activities pertaining to data technology projects, on an enterprise level or for a major systems implementation program with multiple releases and work streams.
  • Verify project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Manage the team that develops and carries out internal information technology projects and products.
  • Partner with Product Managers to maintain plans and communicate progress of the team.
  • Proactively identify impediments and resolve using network of peers or escalation if needed.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in applying Agile and Scrum principles within teams and/or organizations and using agile metrics to analyze and improve sprint planning.
  • 7+ years planning and problem-solving with product management and delivery teams.
  • 7+ years experience working within agile framework or method (i.e. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and applying techniques such as story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, etc.
  • 5+ years creating and delivering presentations, PowerPoint decks, and project plans.
  • 2+ years working with tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence), Clarity, and/or Cloud-based platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP).
  • SAFe certified – SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master.
  • Servant leadership experience as Scrum Master on an Agile Release Train.
  • Familiarity with product/project development experience on an Agile Teams in a technology-focused organization.
  • Ability to align change management strategies with product development/deployments.

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $123,900 to $157,900 annually, as well as an annual bonus.
