About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Supervisor to join our Day Services team at Life's WORC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight and support to our Direct Support Professional staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day oversight of program operations, including individual, staff, and program site management.
  • Make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Day Habilitation Supervisor to drive operational processes.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to Direct Support Professional staff and assist with personnel-related issues.
  • Assist with the implementation of emergency protocols and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Participate in recruitment of program staff and provide ongoing protective oversight to individuals.
  • Assist in the development, approval, implementation, scheduling, and participation of Day Habilitation Plans and meetings.
  • Provide assistance and instruction in basic activities of daily habilitation services.
  • Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices, ensuring proper maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all program vehicles.
  • Monitor Fleetmatics GPS reports, ensure follow-up with all Motorist Observation Reports, and provide data for safe driver incentives.
  • Ensure a clean and safe physical plant environment, conducting quarterly internal physical plant checks and monthly fire evacuation drills.
  • Attend all required in-service training and staff meetings, developing and maintaining positive working relationships at volunteer sites and with family members.
  • Provide daily supports to staff and ensure operational and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure program activities are person-centered and based on the individual's valued outcomes.
  • Adhere to all regulations and agency policy and procedures with regard to incident reporting.
  • Conduct field-based quality spot checks at least monthly and ensure review of daily activity schedules and electronic data collection.
  • Reconcile Wells Fargo and gas receipts, collaborating with the Department Executive Assistant to ensure pertinent documents are entered into the electronic system.
  • Perform other duties as delegated, including assignments at multiple program locations.
