Key Responsibilities
The Chief will be responsible for:
* Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Division, aligning with the University's mission and goals
* Fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
* Driving excellence in research, education, and patient care, ensuring the Division remains a leader in the field of endocrinology and metabolism
* Developing and implementing innovative research programs, securing funding, and mentoring junior faculty
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and industry partners
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* A strong track record of leadership and management experience in a academic or research setting
* A PhD or MD with a focus on endocrinology and metabolism, or a related field
* A proven record of research excellence, with a strong publication record and a history of securing funding
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
* A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment
