Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Level 1 Communication Systems Technician to join our rapidly growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for the installation and support of communication systems. Our technicians are the backbone of our business, delivering exceptional service and products to our customers. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should be customer service oriented with professional communication skills and a willingness to learn and be reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and maintain complex communication systems for education, healthcare, manufacturing, public safety, and other mission-critical customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot communication systems to identify and resolve problems.
- Assist and collaborate well with the respective team, Service manager and customer.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be mentored on new technologies.
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Work without direct supervision for extended periods of time.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Complete necessary training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology, Electronics and Computer Technology, or IT.
- Certified Electronics Technician Certification (CET) from ETA – preferred not required.
- Have a mechanical aptitude and ability to use various types of hand and power tools.
- Ability to complete reports and documentation associated with job tasks.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain background clearance.
