Key Responsibilities:

The Healthcare Billing Coordinator will undertake a variety of essential tasks that require analytical skills, thorough evaluation, and sound decision-making. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing billing software and ensuring accurate claim submissions.
  • Appealing denied claims and tracking late payments.
  • Processing claims to confirm accurate billing information and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reviewing, preparing, and submitting claims for electronic billing.
  • Ensuring timely billing and follow-up on claims for Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance payers.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Conducting follow-ups on all claims until resolution.
  • Communicating with insurance companies regarding payment discrepancies.
  • Regularly reviewing account aging and reporting inconsistencies.
  • Responding promptly to inquiries from facilities and insurance companies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
