About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Kroger Manufacturing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center's equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain and repair buildings, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and distribution center staff to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent required; two years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents, write routine reports, and effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and materials as needed.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Two years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and limited maintenance industrial license.
  • Specialized Skills: Ability to operate specialized equipment, such as hand trucks and power pallet jacks.
