Job DescriptionThe Senior Systems Architect will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of SCADA systems for a leading utility company.
This role requires a strong understanding of SCADA fundamentals, as well as experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working independently and exercising good judgment in a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain currency with the latest trends in automation designs and equipment for the Gas industry.
- Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems that meet the needs of the utility company.
- Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs.
- Program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi) and build, configure, and maintain reports.
- Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes.
- Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocol (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP) and ability to write simple scripts and SQL queries.
- 5+ years of experience in SCADA systems design, development, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of SCADA fundamentals and experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in a small team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
