Alarm Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Alarm Technician to join our team at Digital Home Systems. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for cutting-edge technology and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot high-end alarm systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive system evaluations to identify any issues or areas of improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and security systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine their specific security needs and provide expert recommendations.
  • Coordinate with the office team to ensure timely and efficient execution of installations and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Monitor inventory of service parts.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in alarm systems technology to enhance our service offerings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Alarm Technician, preferably within a high-end residential setting.
  • Proficient knowledge of alarm system components, wiring, and programming.
  • Strong technical skills to install and configure complex alarm systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute installations with precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Professional and polished demeanor, reflecting our luxury brand image.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in alarm system installation or a related field.
  • Familiarity with luxury brands and products in the AV industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations pertaining to alarm system installations.
