Job Summary

This position is to assist management of the activity of the used truck sales department. By performing the duties of this position, the employee will help the truck sales people to be more productive and increase departmental revenue. This position will also assist the Used Truck Sales Manager and the VP of Sales with the duties of that position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell heavy-duty trucks/trailers and related components spec's to customers and prospects.
  • Account Management: Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within assigned territory to maintain and grow relationships.
  • Market Research: Keep current on market and customer trends and document all activity in the company's CRM system.
  • Business Development: Identify and profile prospective customers, develop and apply strategy necessary to obtain orders, close potential orders.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Report on competitive activity and keep informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required. Must have a minimum 2 years retail sales experience. Preferably some heavy duty or medium duty truck experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Good oral and written communication skills, adequate skill to prepare sales quotes, sales assistance, and analyze truck market data.
