Job Title: Groundperson for Utilities

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the utilities industry? We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at American Lighting and Signalization, LLC.

Job Summary:

The Groundperson will assist in the installation and maintenance of street lighting and traffic signalization systems. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble materials on the ground for installation by line personnel or apprentices
  • Flag traffic and may be required to have training
  • Excavate to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification
  • Operate various tools for the work, including manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, and come-a-long
  • Clear work areas around structures
  • Work long hours, including nights and weekends, and be available for overtime during emergencies
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
