Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures
    • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues
    • Position patients for optimal image quality and safety
    • Administer contrast agents as necessary to enhance image quality
  • Patient Care and Safety
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to medical staff
  • Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance
    • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT scanners
    • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
    • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
    • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT))
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience
    • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others
