Job Title: Sales Counter Associate / Warehouse

Department: Brevard - CED

Role Summary:

The Sales Counter Associate / Warehouse role is crucial for maintaining the smooth and effective functioning of the warehouse. This position involves the precise handling of incoming and outgoing merchandise and the daily logistics of deliveries. Engaging with key customers is essential to ensure that urgent items are dispatched promptly. The associate will also provide assistance to customers, fostering a positive shopping experience.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Operations Manager

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is advantageous.
  • Understanding of electrical products and their functionalities is preferred.
  • Mathematical skills including the ability to calculate percentages and discounts.
  • Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Competence in operating office machinery such as computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Capability to manage stock in the warehouse effectively.
  • Ability to coordinate orders and delivery schedules efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that aligns with company standards.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a warehouse or sales environment is beneficial.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor elements, including varying temperatures and uneven surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a collaborative workplace where open communication and teamwork are prioritized.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and promote a focused work environment centered on productivity and teamwork.
  • Assist customers at the sales counter and via phone, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Process transactions following established procedures.
  • Manage merchandise pick-up and maintain the will-call section efficiently.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the counter area and overall location.
  • Assist with special orders and communicate quote requests to the appropriate manager.
  • Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving and shipping merchandise.
  • Coordinate deliveries and advise on any vehicle maintenance issues.
