Join Our Team as a Sr. Research Associate of In Vivo Pharmacology

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Research Associate of In Vivo Pharmacology to join our team at Flagship Pioneering. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy of novel therapies in animal models.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will have the chance to contribute to the development of life-changing treatments for patients. As a Sr. Research Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting in vivo procedures to evaluate the efficacy of therapy candidates in rodent models
  • Performing standard mouse procedures, including blood collection, injections, necropsies, and tissue collection, in compliance with established protocols
  • Conducting in-life safety assessments, including monitoring body weight, clinical observations, and survival of mice
  • Analyzing and summarizing scientific data, and clearly communicating updates and reports to the team and stakeholders
  • Performing detailed documentation of experimental results via an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)
  • Entering data into animal management software
  • Presenting in vivo data to project teams
  • Complying with all laboratory safety procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Biosciences or a related field, with 5+ years of industry/academia experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of industry experience
  • Experience using rodent models of liver diseases to support drug discovery and development
  • Proficiency in standard in vivo techniques, including animal handling, blood collection, dosing, necropsy, and tissue dissections
  • Familiarity with IACUC and compliance requirements
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to work with different teams

This is a full-time position based in Cambridge, MA, and requires hands-on experience and being in the lab and vivarium. Ability to work on weekends on a rotating schedule.
