We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing and building the electrical power and controls rack for our pilot laser furnace. As a member of our engineering team, you will work closely with us to develop the human machine interface, implement engineering safety controls, and integrate all furnace equipment with the electrical rack and controls system.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and own the electrical power and controls rack for our pilot laser furnace
* Develop the human machine interface to operate the laser furnace
* Implement engineering safety controls on all furnace subsystems, including laser system and high-temperature operations
* Work closely with the engineering team on furnace design, installation, and beyond

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience designing and building electrical and controls platforms from the ground up
* Expertise in programming real-time control systems (e.g. PLCs Allen-Bradley, PC/PLC Beckhoff, FPGA, Galil) and clear human machine interfaces
* Experience with high power electronics and power supplies
* Experience working in team-oriented and fast-paced startup-like environments
