We are seeking an exceptional VP of Engineering to lead our engineering team at MoviePass. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy for our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of our product roadmap.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Code Reviews and Releases: Ensure that code reviews are thorough and releases are well-planned and executed.
  • Tech Debt Management: Identify and prioritize technical debt, communicating the impact and benefits of addressing it to stakeholders.
  • Product Roadmap: Work closely with product teams to shape the technical underpinnings of our product roadmap.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience: Proven professional experience working along the tech stack (backend, frontend, and mobile frameworks & database administration).
  • DevOps Experience: Proven professional dev ops experience (Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Cloud Experience: Proven professional experience with AWS and GCP.

Desirable Skills:

  • AI/ML Experience: Experience working with AI/ML and blockchain technologies.
  • Strong Technology Fundamentals: Strong technology fundamentals and the ability to make high-impact decisions about long-term viability/scalability of technical solutions.
  • Business Acumen: Experience working with business stakeholders and understanding the needs of the organization.
