Position Overview:

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a skilled Civil or Environmental Engineer with a strong background in the planning, permitting, and design of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems. This role involves collaboration with our dedicated team to support various projects, particularly those associated with the Navajo Nation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects.
  • Act as a project engineer or task leader for infrastructure assignments.
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and designs related to water and wastewater systems.
  • Facilitate team meetings and support design development from concept to final design.
  • Engage in client and internal meetings to advance project objectives.
  • Serve as the engineer of record for final project deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in municipal civil engineering, particularly in water/wastewater treatment facility planning and design.
  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater infrastructure systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working on multiple projects in a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is preferred.
