Automotive Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician Trainer to join our team at G-TECH Services, Inc.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading certified recruitment and placement firm, providing high-quality, flexible staffing solutions to a nationwide client base.
As an Automotive Technician Trainer, you will be responsible for providing live and virtual technical training to dealership technicians in the areas of diagnosis, service, and maintenance of all automotive systems on vehicles.
You will also be required to drive new model vehicles for evaluation and product familiarity, maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all Skill Areas, and support the Course Development Team as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide live and virtual technical training to dealership technicians
- Drive new model vehicles for evaluation and product familiarity
- Maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all Skill Areas
- Support the Course Development Team as needed
- Assist in the development of training schedules
- Assist with individual course registrations and roster processing
- Coordinate with Business Center Field personnel on training initiatives
- Communicate with dealership personnel on training requirements
- Counsel with Service Managers to help them understand and utilize technical training
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of automotive components and systems
- Demonstrated ability to work skillfully with highly technical diagnostic equipment
- Ability to interact effectively with various personality types
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction
- Familiarity and ease with office automation programs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A degree is preferred but experience is also considered
- Minimum of two years' experience as a technician
- Experience teaching automotive is preferred
- Willingness to travel, as needed
Work Environment:
The work environment is dynamic, with a mix of classroom, shop, and office settings. You will be required to use personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and head protection, and may be exposed to automotive fumes, fluids, noise, smells, sharp edges, and bump hazards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
