Job Title: System/Network Administrator

Job Summary:

United Solutions Company is seeking a skilled System/Network Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and up-to-date maintenance of our diverse IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server operating systems, VMware vCenter, ESXi, and hyperconverged systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco switching and routing infrastructure along with Cisco Meraki devices to ensure seamless connectivity and network performance.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, including user management, security settings, and troubleshooting to ensure effective utilization of cloud services.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting for automating routine tasks, system monitoring, and configuration management to streamline operational processes.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions for critical systems and data, ensuring data integrity, availability, and timely recovery in the event of a disaster or data loss.
  • Implement security best practices across systems and networks to protect against cybersecurity threats, including monitoring and responding to security incidents.
  • Perform regular patching and updates for operating systems, applications, and firmware to address security vulnerabilities and ensure system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate regular reports on system performance, security status, and compliance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT team members to resolve system-related issues promptly.
  • Monitor system resources and performance metrics to identify trends and anticipate future capacity requirements. Recommend upgrades or optimizations to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role, with expertise in managing Windows Server OS, VMware vSphere, Cisco networking, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including configuration and management.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security +) are a plus.
  • Must be bondable.
