About Us:
T. Marzetti Company, a leading manufacturer and marketer of specialty food products, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Clerk to join our team.
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing inventory control and parts room organization, monitoring shipments received, and maintaining the plant equipment library. The successful candidate will be a qualified individual with basic mechanical aptitude and math skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality initiatives
- Coordinate with receiving and purchasing departments to ensure accurate inventory control and timely requisitions
- Locate and evaluate vendors for purchasing of parts and services
- Implement competitive bidding to ensure best price and service level
- Track and provide metrics related to costs of parts and repairs
- Maintain organized vendor filing system and clean, labeled storage areas
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Previous industrial training and/or parts control experience preferred
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working Conditions:
This role requires working in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, and slippery floors. Ear protection, eye/face protection, and steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes are required as necessary.
