Job Summary:

Reporting to the Lead Technologist, Diagnostic Radiology, the IR Technologist uses ionizing radiation to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels that assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury during IVR procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use ionizing radiation to produce high-quality images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury during IVR procedures.
  • Work closely with the Lead Technologist, Diagnostic Radiology, to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited college or equivalent military training.
  • Current registration as R.T.(R)(ARRT) or registry-eligible with R.T.(R)(ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS healthcare provider certification.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including PACS and HIS/RIS.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
