Job description

Infosys is seeking a Quantitative Business Analyst.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Business Analyst with a strong background in Python. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing quantitative models, conducting data analysis and develop, test, and maintain high-performance applications using Python.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and proficiency in Python programming. Strong knowledge of APIs, integration, data extraction, preprocessing will be an added advantage.

You will be involved in requirements gathering, development, code deployment, enhancement and fixes and help with testing and documentation activities.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Jersey City, NJ and this position will require you to work out of client locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Information Technology.
  • Experience in Python development and its frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Python development.
  • At least 4 years of years in software services industry and experience in software development and deployment process.
  • Good knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in using ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy database operations.
  • Passion for coding and problem-solving
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience with banking industry will be and added advantage.
  • Good problem solving skills

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
