Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database schema architectures, including coding and design of stored procedures, foreign keys, table relationships, etc.
  • Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases to ensure optimal performance.
  • Review database design and integration of systems, providing backup recovery and making recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
  • Collaborate with other highly motivated system/network administrators, software developers, and mission planners to achieve team goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of relative experience; OR Master's Degree with 7+ years of relative experience or in lieu of a degree, an additional 4+ years of experience is required.
  • Proficiency in systems and database management.
  • Experience designing, developing, and administering complex databases using a database language such as SQL or similar database languages to SQL.
  • Familiarity with database management best practices.
  • US Citizenship and must have Interim Secret clearance prior to starting. Once started, must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a containerized environment with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate within the NGC various sites as well as with customers.
  • Experience with high-level coding languages such as C#, C++, PowerShell, VBA, etc.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps / TFS and Git.
