About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Layout Welder to join our team at WET Design. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for interacting with colleagues and working independently to set up and manage your own processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • TIG welding stainless steel components with precision and speed
  • Experienced in cosmetic grinding of sheet metal panels to high standards
  • MIG welding mild steel sheet metal with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions with ease
  • Ensuring the quality of work, checking own work and the work of others in the department
  • Self-starter with a high level of motivation, working in a fast-paced department
  • Regularly handling electrical panel frames and door weldments weighing over 65lbs
  • Experience with band saws, circular saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
  • Material handling of raw goods and finished weldments
Requirements
  • 10+ years of welding experience with welding layouts
  • 10+ years of TIG welding experience
  • 8+ years of MIG welding experience
  • Able to read blueprints and drawings with ease
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to lift at least 65+ lbs
  • Stand for 8+ hours per day
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
