Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver with US Foods, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of our products to customers. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Unload products from delivery vehicles and place them in customer storage areas, using a hand truck as needed.
- Verify delivery of products with customers and collect payment (cash or checks) as required.
- Make frequent stops during a work shift and deliver products in inclement weather conditions.
- Perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
- No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver's license suspensions in the past three years.
- Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
