Job Title: Young Adult Career Coach

At Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Young Adult Career Coach to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in empowering young adults to achieve their career goals and build successful futures.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Career Coach to deliver innovative, customer-focused, and technology-driven career services to young adults aged 18-24. As a Young Adult Career Coach, you will work collaboratively with our Career Center team to provide one-on-one career coaching, job search assistance, and career exploration services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized career coaching to young adults, assessing their needs through interviews, observation, and record examination.
  • Teach job search and resume writing skills, as well as interviewing techniques, to multicultural populations.
  • Develop and facilitate job readiness, employment skills, and life skills workshops for young adult participants.
  • Assist young adults in developing a Case Management Plan that includes identifying potential barriers and necessary supportive services.
  • Provide ongoing career counseling and direct job placement services to young adults 18-24, utilizing occupational, educational, and labor market information to aid in their career development.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience in establishing/facilitating strong partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • High level of computer/technology proficiency, including the ability to maintain accurate records of services provided through the MOSES database.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
  • Knowledge of the MassHire Career Center system and regional employment trends is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population.
