Job Title: Program Officer, Young Adult Family Fund

California Community Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Young Adult Family Fund, a strategic initiative focused on supporting young adults and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic grantmaking plans to achieve the fund's goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with grantees, foundation partners, and other stakeholders to advance the fund's mission.
  • Conduct due diligence on grant proposals, including review of organizational documents, financial information, and site visits.
  • Make funding recommendations to the team and donor family.
  • Monitor and evaluate grant progress, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in grantmaking, program management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector, including grantmaking best practices and community engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
