Job Summary

The BFT Team at our law firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide exceptional support to our attorneys and staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting matter opening forms, processing conflict checks, and creating closing binders using Litera.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit matter opening forms and conflict checks in a timely manner.
  • Create closing binders using Litera and save on PDF and paper if requested.
  • Type, proofread, format, and edit correspondence, memoranda, agreements, and other legal documents under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Scan, save, and file documents from clients, other external sources, and internal sources into iManage.
  • Prepare expense reimbursements and interact with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information to assist in the file opening process.
  • Provide support to other support team members, paralegals, and attorneys, and work on other tasks as assigned.
  • Track files/matters from beginning to end.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with an associate degree and at least three years of experience as a junior Paralegal in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate. You should have working experience doing conflict checks and engagement letters, preparing closing binders, and organizing closing documents. Knowledge of legal real estate terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF Docs, Adobe Pro, and Litera are also required.
