Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director for Primary Care to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical and provider personnel and operations of our primary care clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the medical and provider personnel and operations of primary care clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Collaborate with clinic and nurse managers to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to primary care providers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree.
  • Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any of the US states.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
