At Jackson Furniture Ind., we are seeking a skilled Furniture Frame Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling the wooden frames for our sofas, loveseats, and chairs.
Key Responsibilities- Frame Assembly: Assemble wood frames for sofas, loveseats, and chairs using pneumatic staple guns.
- Frame Fabrication: Position precut frame parts and glue, staple, or screw them together to fabricate furniture frames, using pneumatic staple guns and glue applicators.
- Frame Trimming and Smoothing: Trim and smooth edges of frames, nails, screws, bolts, and glues precut frame parts and attaches legs, arms, and back pieces using pneumatic staple guns.
- Material Attachment: Nail, screw, or bolt plywood or other material to frames.
- Wood Cutting: May cut wood parts, according to specifications, using power tools.
- Hardware Attachment: May attach hardware to wooden furniture frames.
- Specialized Tasks: May be designated according to part or pieces assembled as Arm Builder, Back Builder, or Center Frame/Floor Frame Builder. Other duties to be performed as directed by supervisor(s).
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Must have good hand-eye coordination.
- Pneumatic Power Tool Operation: Ability to use pneumatic power tools (such as staple guns) to assemble frame parts.
- Dusty Environment: Must be able to work in a dusty environment.
- Safety First: Must perform job with safety as top priority.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to bend and lift frame parts throughout shift. Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift (8 – 10 hours per day).
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to show up to work on-time, every day, and take direction from supervisor(s) in a fast-paced environment.
- Lifting and Repetition: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively on a daily basis.
- Experience: Previous furniture frame building experience highly preferred.
