About the Role

At Medtronic, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) team. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical, educational, and sales support to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with CRM medical device systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers, including online and field-based training.
  • Support the implantation of CRM products and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Assist with managing consignment inventory and trunk inventory.
  • Provide educational support to customers, including training and educating medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives and District Managers to learn market dynamics and local customer motivations and needs.
  • Assist with obtaining customer POs and have a basic understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Independently identify customer needs and opportunities and provide feedback to Sales Representatives to support sales objectives.
  • Stay up to date on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma PLUS a minimum 4 years of work experience in healthcare, field sales, or work experience utilizing complex mathematics, mechanical concepts, science, or computing.
  • Associate's Degree PLUS a minimum 2 years of work experience in the healthcare, field sales, or work experience utilizing complex mathematics, mechanical concepts, science, or computing.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, life sciences, biomedical engineering.
  • Cath Lab, EP Lab, hospital/clinic or cardiology experience.
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel.
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to build/maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position.
  • Expertise with Microsoft tools and other business applications.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
  • IBHRE certification (below Prin level – required for Prin level).
