Main Responsibilities
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed. This includes ensuring on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights, monitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, conducting daily safety audits, and conducting daily work group meetings. You will also be responsible for scheduling and controlling staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and all government regulatory agencies standards, and documenting and following up on all department processes to implement improvements.
Leadership
As a leader, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and motivating staff to uphold high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer service. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed, planning and implementing and controlling the cost budget in the area of responsibility, and participating and supporting company-sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and CBase.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge, one to three years of related work experience, strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices, experience managing CDL drivers, experience with DOT requirements, a valid driver's license, proven analytical and leadership skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. You will also need a working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
