We are pleased to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters to a state-of-the-art facility in a prime business district.

The Land Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the third-party vendors responsible for the landscaping, amenities, naming, and branding for our residential projects. Additionally, this manager will work with other members of the Land team to learn about the Acquisition and Development side of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select landscape architecture companies for our projects.
  • Develop and present community name and branding by utilizing outside consultants.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.

Job Competencies:

  • Communication/Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the Land team.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
  • Business Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of the residential land development industry.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, vendors, and clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None initially, but the expectation is that the team will grow and this manager will eventually manage others.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field required.
  • Requires at least 4 years of relevant landscape architecture experience.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with outside professional consultants and contractors both verbally and in writing.
  • Effectively work with engineering and planning departments of local municipalities and counties.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, reports, correspondence, blueprints, construction plans, plats, and development plans. Ability to write correspondence and reports. Ability to manage and forecast the progress and performance of one or more projects.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Current, valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
