Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the final design, construction, and successful execution of large-scale energy efficiency projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems as well as Building Automation. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of on-site construction safety experience and a strong background in managing complex facility infrastructure projects, including renovations, retrofits, upgrades, and energy services. An active OSHA 30 Certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities, providing administrative and technical management for renewable energy projects aimed at delivering energy savings to various sectors including public, institutional, government, and commercial clients;
  • Support the Senior Project Manager with project accounting, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking, ensuring quality management and effective internal communication;
  • Ensure adherence to the company's financial policies, including revenue recognition and project setup rules, while acting as a liaison between business operations and project execution;
  • Engage directly with clients to manage service delivery, maintain relationships, and fulfill contractual obligations;
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Development team and the Senior Project Manager in project design and development, including scope definition, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, and scheduling;
  • Continuously monitor project performance and cost estimates, providing forecasts to ensure alignment with project plans and actual expenses;
  • Review bids from subcontractors and vendors to assist the Senior Project Manager in determining project scope, schedule, and timely delivery of materials and services;
  • Manage construction managers (site supervisors) to ensure project quality control and timely delivery while meeting or exceeding client expectations;
  • Maintain and update project schedules to reflect current progress, monitor critical path activities, and track outstanding items;
  • Provide a detailed two-week look-ahead schedule to facilitate client coordination and planning;
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation and reporting requirements;
  • Uphold compliance with safety standards, practices, and codes set by the company, industry, and relevant jurisdictions;

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in energy efficiency disciplines such as direct digital energy control systems, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, and renewable energy technologies;
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations related to mechanical and electrical systems;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while fostering positive business relationships;
  • Preferred completion or progress toward relevant engineering or technical education;
  • Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing;
  • Willingness to travel and perform additional duties as required.
