Job Summary:
Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and timely processing weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for both Kedplasma and KBI businesses.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly multi-state payroll using ADP WFN/Time and Attendance
- Respond to manager and employee questions/issues regarding payroll
- Audit payroll related activity, research payroll issues/discrepancies
- Partner with ADP on payroll and systems process improvement projects
- Coordinate with the benefits team to ensure benefit deductions are correct/Third party sick pay is being captured in payroll
- Partner with benefits team on year-end ACA reporting
- Work with ADP to ensure timely and accurate year-end reporting/Earned Income tax credit communications
- Monitor and research withholding and unemployment tax issues
- Recommend and implement changes leading to best practice operations for all system users/standardization of practices
- Set up new state jurisdictions
- Partner with Finance team providing regular and ad hoc (custom) reports
- Ensure ADP is updated with the most current employee information
- Entry of new hire/term and job changes into SuccessFactors and ADP
- Train new managers on correct processing of timecards
- Manage and troubleshoot time clock issues
- Audit data in ADP system for correctness
- Work with ADP to ensure garnishments and unemployment is being properly managed
- Manage the expat onboarding in ADP and shadow payroll processing
- Assist in HR projects and compliance audits/reporting
- Maintain PTO and Sick time policies
- Other payroll related tasks/responses to inquiries, as necessary
Requirements:
- At least 3 years payroll processing and administration with multi-state and location responsibilities
- Must have ADP WFN and ADP time and attendance experience
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal wage and labor laws and payroll taxes
- Must have an intermediate/advanced level of skill in Excel
- Must be proficient in ADP reporting
- Must be diplomatic in dealing with employees/managers
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects and be able to prioritize responsibilities
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail
- High school diploma
