Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Policy Fellow to join our team at Multiplier. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water policy and a passion for sustainable water management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze water policies, programs, and resources to advance local, state, and federal-level sustainable water management practices.
  • Connect drinking water and wastewater systems to state and federal funding and financing opportunities and provide technical application support.
  • Support the Tap into Resilience initiative by identifying opportunities for accelerated investment in sustainable water strategies and removing obstacles to implementation.
  • Conduct outreach and technical assistance to rural, small, and tribal wastewater systems to help them navigate and apply for low-interest financing.
  • Work with the Water Policy Director to develop recommendations for establishing a stormwater utility for New Orleans.
  • Implement WaterNow's Colorado-based funding and financing navigation technical assistance programs, including the WaterSMART Grant Application & Help Desk and State Revolving Fund Assistance Program.
  • Plan and strategize related to WaterSMART, Colorado State Revolving Fund, and other funding/financing opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach and promotional activities with Colorado communities to generate interest and excitement in the WaterSMART and Colorado State Revolving Fund initiatives.
  • Help communities navigate and apply for grant and loan applications to bring critical funds and projects to Colorado.
  • Assist with grant reporting and metrics tracking.
  • Support the Colorado Project Accelerator Program by providing research, analysis, and expertise to the Colorado Basin Program Director.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with key local partners, water innovators, and utility staff and management.
  • Represent WaterNow at conferences, seminars, and meetings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead occasional stakeholder meetings, in-person briefings, and webinars.
  • Serve alongside other thought partners on WNA on overall planning and strategy.
