About the Role:

Markforged is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving large-scale architecture projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure that is highly scalable, resilient, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Software team's development platforms, including technologies such as Kubernetes, CICD, Terraform, and Docker, as well as services like AWS, CircleCI, NPMJS, GitHub, Snyk, and Harness.
  • Acting as SRE for production environments and ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering team to review PRs and participate in design sessions to leverage cloud services effectively.
  • Evaluating and prioritizing security threats to ensure the integrity of our systems.
  • Managing and prioritizing the DevOps backlog, encompassing product development, internal improvements, and security enhancements.
  • Supporting customer escalations involving device connectivity, security, or authentication.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping high-quality code with strong CS fundamentals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience with cloud providers, especially AWS portfolio products.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
  • Comfort working with Monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Cloudwatch, or Cloudtrail.
  • Knowledge of UNIX shell.
  • Experience with writing and supporting JavaScript.
