Job SummaryGlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated Principal Process Engineer to join our 300mm wafer fabrication facility in Malta, New York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for process sustenance and development, collaborating with internal customers, and participating in the development and manufacturing of unit processes for various technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce variability, defects, and costs in high-volume manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and manufacture unit processes for FinFET, Si Photonics, and other advanced technologies.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor shift technicians to ensure effective execution of business processes in a 24x7 HVM production environment.
- Interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- BS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English Language - written & verbal.
- MS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing and process optimization.
- Project management skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent technical presentation and communication skills.
$77,000 - $142,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.
