Site Director Opportunity

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Director to lead our Head Start programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Head Start centers, ensuring compliance with OCC/Child Care Licensing regulations and Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive programs that meet the needs of our children and families.
  • Family Engagement and Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with families, community partners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communication and Service Coordination: Effectively communicate with team members, families, and external partners to ensure high-quality services.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports to meet regulatory requirements and track program progress.
  • Ongoing Monitoring, Human Resources, and Supervision: Conduct regular monitoring, provide guidance and support to staff, and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Program Governance and Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure the success of our Head Start programs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies, Child Development, Human Development, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an early learning center, with knowledge of OCC regulations and HSPPS preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid, CLASS Reliability, 45-Hour Director's Certification, and 90-Hour Certification (if degree is not in a related field).
