  • Collaborate with software maintenance teams to align database operations with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patches for new features and security.
  • Analyze and forecast database capacity for scalability and optimal performance.
  • Leverage cloud backup solutions for data resilience and easy restoration in failures.
  • Use infrastructure as code tools (e.g. AWS Cloud Formation) for consistent and automated database management.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database design configurations and processes.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Must have DoD 8570 compliance certifications (i.e. CompTIA Security, CompTIA Cloud+).
  • Bachelor's degree and 48 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 26 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Minimum 410 years of information technology experience, minimum of 46 years of practical Database Administration experience.
  • Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
