Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training services to patients in a variety of settings, including high school, collegiate, and community outreach settings.
  • Work under the supervision and direction of a physician to provide medical services to patients.
  • Develop and implement athletic training programs to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent injuries.
  • Collaborate with team physicians, therapists, and other healthcare personnel to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct physical exams and provide medical treatment to patients as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field (effective 2023, requirement for all new graduates).
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field (graduates graduating prior to 2023).
  • National certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) for athletic trainers.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an athletic trainer by the state board of medical licensure in the state where work is being performed.
  • Basic Life Support Certification by AHA.
