Overview:

This role is integral to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, tasked with delivering insights into the operational and financial performance of the organization. The successful candidate will analyze results against budget, forecast, and historical data to inform company leadership.

This individual will serve as a visionary leader, continuously enhancing the finance function's contribution to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the annual and quarterly planning and forecasting processes, ensuring effective coordination and consolidation of the company’s income statement.
Engage with cross-departmental teams and cultivate relationships with essential stakeholders, including business unit and enterprise leadership.
Drive the creation of actionable reports in collaboration with various business units.

This encompasses developing reports for distribution that support monthly variance analysis of actual results compared to budget, as well as addressing inquiries from business units.

Utilizing PeopleSoft/Hyperion, oversee the report inventory and consistently enhance quality and efficiency through the management of all 'power' report users.

Assist finance business partners by providing necessary data to track and analyze monthly budget variances.
Proactively seek to enhance and translate data from the accounting department into finance applications.
Lead initiatives aimed at evolving the financial approach to address questions that facilitate business decision-making.
Design, maintain, and continuously refine forecasting models for current and future years, including user-based testing.
Utilize competitive financial statement and annual report research to benchmark financial performance metrics and indicators.
Provide analytical support for the development of the company’s strategic plan.
Conduct ad hoc expense analyses to offer insights that will influence expense management practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in a full-time financial or analytical role, with a robust understanding of the interplay between finance and accounting in a corporate setting.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with proven problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and critical thinking capabilities. They should exhibit intellectual curiosity and sound decision-making skills. A passion for collaboration and the ability to forge strong, trusting relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization is essential. Demonstrated management skills with the capacity to drive projects from inception to completion and act as a change agent are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.

Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with Hyperion planning applications. Interest in PeopleSoft/back-end development.
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
