Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst role is pivotal in delivering financial insights and support for our Advertising, CMX, and related functions. This position is essential for reporting on financial performance, forecasting expenses and payroll, and conducting annual budgeting alongside various ad hoc analyses as requested by finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate monthly financial performance reports and compare them against budget and forecast.
- Assist in headcount planning and maintain financial data sources.
- Communicate findings and results effectively to leadership.
- Identify and implement systemic improvement opportunities.
- Support variance department projects aligned with team objectives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, ideally within a retail environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting principles.
- Proficient in Excel (including Vlookup and pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Over 4 years of relevant financial reporting experience in a retail context.
- Experience with SAP or Anaplan.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is: $46,000 - $112,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors including experience and education.
