Job Summary

The Shuttle Driver drives passengers to and from assigned locations, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off points. This role requires a high level of customer service, ensuring the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including those with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Transport passengers to and from assigned locations, adhering to scheduled routes and times.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs.
  • Help passengers to load and unload luggage as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles on a regular basis to identify any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues, performing routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities.
  • Meet patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots.
  • Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage record information using electronic devices or manual tickets.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to inquiries in a courteous manner and giving directions to nearest highways or destinations.
  • Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plans, coordinating bus evacuation activities as necessary.
  • Immediately report any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment, keeping fuel use logs.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use.
  • Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • No experience required, with on-the-job training provided.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
  • This role may require a CDL with a specific class and endorsement requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of prior work experience as a passenger shuttle driver is preferred.
