Job Title: Truck Driver Shuttle Class A

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver Shuttle Class A to join our team at Core-Mark. As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to our warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport empty trailers to our warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety of our equipment and cargo.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines and park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers to bring back to the base facility and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL-A with Doubles Endorsement preferred, but willing to train.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21+ of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.
