Position Overview:
The Civil Engineering Project Manager will be instrumental in leading collaborative teams focused on civil engineering initiatives, particularly within the renewable energy and power delivery sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring project success and will report directly to the Director of Civil Engineering.
- Lead and manage multiple project teams, fostering effective communication with clients and team members.
- Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines, including survey, electrical, structural, and geotechnical.
- Assess staffing requirements and allocate resources efficiently across various projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, enhancing their performance and development.
- Conduct regular project evaluations to ensure compliance with timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Oversee the execution of quality assurance and quality control procedures, conducting thorough reviews.
- Analyze existing processes and propose enhancements to improve client satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
- Engage in business development efforts with current and prospective clients.
- Participate in the recruitment process for new team members and conduct performance assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals for new project opportunities.
- Act as a technical authority in the civil-solar domain.
- Coordinate contract evaluations, identify changes in scope, and prepare necessary amendments.
- 5-10 years of relevant industry experience, including 2-3 years in the solar sector.
- Expertise in civil engineering aspects related to solar projects, encompassing layout design, grading plans, erosion control, permitting, and SWPPP.
- Experience in managing personnel and conducting performance reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Background in designing and permitting stormwater management systems.
- Familiarity with erosion control design and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability.
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
Salary range: $90,000-$140,000
