Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to join our team at the Division of General Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical studies, working closely with the principal investigator and study coordinator/supervisor, and ensuring compliance with research protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate studies from startup through close-out, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of case report forms.
  • Determine eligibility of and gather consent from study participants according to protocol, and assist in developing recruitment strategies.
  • Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects, and ensure compliance with research protocols.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, and ensure institutional Review Board renewals are completed.
  • Assemble study kits for study visits, monitor scheduling of procedures and charges, and coordinate documents.
  • Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets, and resolve billing issues in collaboration with finance and/or management staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance, and excellent organizational skills.
Working Conditions

The position may require working with or being in areas where hazardous materials and/or exposure to chemicals, blood, body fluid or tissues, and risk of exposure to contagious diseases and infections.

May require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
